Open to all Hong Kong-based and Hong Kong-born artists, the HKHRAP invites creatives to submit work in any medium exploring the theme of local or international human rights. The winner of the HKHRAP 2018 will be announced at an exhibition opening featuring all shortlisted work on Saturday December 8, 2018The winner will receive one of Asia’s most prestigious art award packages, with a cash prize of HKD35,000 and a trophy created by a leading Hong Kong artist.
Two runners-up will also receive cash prizes, each of which has been sponsored by a private donor and finally a Directors’ Choice Award.

Entries are judged by a panel of noted experts from Hong Kong’s art and business community, including Claire Hsu, Co-Founder & Executive Director of Asia Art Archive (AAA), and Kacey Wong, a prominent, Hong Kong-based artist. Hsu and Wong have both been advisors to the prize since inception in 2013.


Entries for the Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize are open from 7 August 2018 through 5 October 2018
